As Administrative Assistant, Jamie Lancaster works closely with the pastors, staff, and general church membership. She prepares the weekly church bulletin, maintains all membership records, schedules events, and sees to the many other administrative tasks that make a church operate smoothly and efficiently.  She is also the first person you will meet when you walk into the church office.  You can expect a cheerfully greeting.  Jamie is anxious to answer your questions, give you directions or assist you in any way she can.

Jamie has an extensive background as a church secretary.  From 1988 to 1989, she served as the secretary of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.  In 1989, her family relocated to Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, where she worked for two years at the Ecusta Credit Union.  From 1993 to mid-2002 she served as Administrative Assistant at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, in Brevard, where she is also a member.  In addition to her professional role at the Lutheran Church, she has also served as a council member, council secretary, and a member of various committees.  She joined the staff at First United Methodist Church in July of 2002.

Jamie is a native of Easton, Pennsylvania, and in 1977 married Rod Lancaster.  They have two adult children: Jeff and Lindsay, and a sheltie named Rocky.  Her hobbies include singing, gardening and watercolor painting.
