
- Kerry Purselle
The Reverend Kerry B. Purselle is serving her second term at Brevard First United Methodist Church. She was the associate here from 1999 – 2002 and was re-appointed to the church in 2005. Kerry and her husband, Dick, lived in Warsaw, Poland, from 2002 – 2005, where Kerry was the pastor of Warsaw International Church, an English speaking multi-denominational congregation. Warsaw International Church ministered to people from fifteen different countries and five continents while she was there. She brings her passion for celebrating unity in the midst of diversity to our congregation.
Kerry shares pastoral care and preaching with Rev. Jordan and is responsible for the following areas of ministry: Evangelism and New Member Assimilation, Missions, Stephen Ministry and Church Life.
Kerry's BA in Speech and English is from Muskingum College, in New Concord, Ohio. She has a Masters in Library Science Media from Georgia State U., and a Master of Divinity from Emory U., Candler School of Theology. She served churches in North Georgia from 1988 prior to being appointed to Brevard FUMC in 1999.
Kerry and Dick have three sons and two granddaughters who live in the Atlanta area. They both enjoy hiking and reading. Dick is the cook and truly appreciates preparing and eating good food. Kerry is energized by music.
