As Director of Youth & College Ministries Jamie Gilmore works to give direction to the educational ministry to youth grades 6-12 and college students.  She works closely with Brevard College on the latter.

Jamie is a native of Greeneville, Tennessee, where she was a life-long United Methodist.  She graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, in May of 2001.  While in college, she worked at YMCA Camp Greenville at Cedar Mountain.  It was at Camp Greenville that she decided to go into some type of full-time ministry with children and youth.  After graduating from ASU, Jamie served as a summer camp director at Rural Resources in Greeneville, TN.  Most recently, Jamie comes to us from First United Methodist Church in Henderson, NC, where she served as the Director of Children and youth.

Jamie is excited to be in Brevard.  She loves the mountains and enjoys hiking, backpacking and camping.  She also loves kids and is thrilled to be working with children and youth at First United Methodist.  She hopes to convey to them her love for the Lord and the joy He has placed in her heart!
