As Financial Secretary, Edith Phillips maintains financial records from data submitted by various groups. Automated Church System software enables her to produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly computer-generated reports from the Contributions, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger modules.

Our Financial Secretary enjoys serving in her position and with such a dedicated staff.  She was a member of the staff from 2001-2003 and joined us again in mid-2006. Her job description includes maintaining the financial data for individual records, payrolls, accounts payable, and the general ledger. She works closely with the church treasurer and finance committee chairperson. She and her husband, David, both natives of Transylvania County, reside in Pisgah Forest. A graduate of Blanton’s Business College, her career experiences include a business background in office management and public relations. In 2006, she and her husband took on a new challenge, that of therapeutic foster care with Professional Parenting. When time allows, she and her husband enjoy spending time with their two married sons, Scott and Sean, and their families.  Her hobbies include reading, writing, and walking.
