FUMC Matthew 25 Projects
Children and Families Serving Together In the Name of Christ
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?’ And the king will answer them,‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’

STOP HUNGER NOW Project
”I was hungry and you fed me…”
STOP HUNGER NOW is a coordinated program for packing meals for emergency food distribution throughout the world. It is our goal, working with the SHN team at our church, to package 10.000 meal kits in 2 hours assembly line style. It’s a great opportunity to see a big result in a short time. Let’s come together and make it happen!
”I was a stranger and you welcomed me…”

Inheritance of Hope Legacy Race (Morning, Brevard College)
We will be working with the Inheritance of Hope Run coordinators to provide water for runners throughout the race and as they cross the finish line. Coordinator: Nora Coan
We invite you to join your children in a commitment to serve Jesus as a family with your church family in the coming year. Please be aware that these are family events. We are not providing childcare but are providing opportunities for you to teach your children to care for others by being in ministry together. We look forward to serving with you in our community!
This Project is coordinated by the FUMC Children’s Ministry Council in conjunction with other ministry groups of our Church Council.
