Communications
Mission/Purpose: To facilitate formal communications from all congregational leadership (clergy, staff and lay) to our congregational members, visitors and community.
Sponsored Areas and Contacts:
TheTie: TheTie is the congregation's monthly newsletter containing general information on all ministries and committees of the congregation. The current and most recent issues of TheTie may be read on-line; click here for the links. If you would like to be placed on our distribution list for TheTie, please contact our Administrative Assistant Jamie Lancaster. You may receive a monthly notification when each issue is posted to the web site, arrange to pick up a paper copy at the church, or have a paper copy mailed to you. To submit material for publication or for other editorial comments please E-mail the Editor. The deadline for material is generally the next to the last Thursday of each month. Specific deadline dates are provided in each issue.
Church Website: www.BrevardFUMC.org is the congregation's web presence. It is your Internet entry point for ongoing information about the church and its programs. It also provides you with information on the United Methodist Church in general. A web ministry is responsible for maintaining this site, lead by our webmaster. If you would like to be part of this dynamic ministry please contact the webmaster.
E-mail: E-mail is provided all staff and key ministries and committees within the congregation. See the contacts page for a listing of E-mail addresses. E-mail and distribution lists are maintained by the system administrator.
Other Communications: Bulletins, letters, notes, phone calls, etc., are provided by our very capable Administrative Assistant, Jamie Lancaster. While her efforts do not come under the Communications Ministry, they do serve an important communications role within the congregation.
Multimedia: The church now has a computer projector system for doing presentations. This is used by the educational ministry, business meetings, outside groups and the Sunday Celebration worship service. In addition, the adult Elective Class has its own computer projector system which is available to other organizations/individuals within the church.
