Worship – Sundays 10:55 a.m. service and other selected times.
Music Makers – Ages 4 through Grade 1
Purpose: To help each child find his or her singing voice, as well as exposing them to a variety of fun pitch matching and rhythm activities.
This choir either sings at or participates in worship at various times during the year.
Needed: Adult volunteers to help supervise children during regular rehearsals and when leading in worship.
Time: Wednesdays – 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Music Room 1 (second floor)
Young Musicians – Grades 2 through 6
Purpose: To help each child develop his or her singing voice, as well as exposing them to a wide variety of music instruments and more advanced pitch and rhythm activities.
Some Orff and Kodaly methodologies are used in the choir.
Children will learn to read from the musical score.
Needed: Adult volunteers to help supervise children during regular rehearsal and when participating in worship.
Time: Wednesdays – 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Music Room 2 (second floor)
Youth Choir – Grades 7-12
Purpose: To help youth improve their singing skills while learning exciting music that relates well to teenagers.
Needed: Adult volunteers to go as chaperones to out-of-town events such as choir festivals and summer music camps.
Worship – Youth Choir leads in worship a various times throughout the year.
Senior Adult Choir – Ages 55 – 100
Purpose: To provide a rewarding musical experience with other senior adults singing a variety of music including beautiful older hymns and other musical works.
Needed: Senior adults who simply enjoy singing together.
Time: Mondays – 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.-Fellowship Hall
Chancel Ringers (Handbells) – Any youth or adults
Purpose: To provide a handbell choir for those individuals interested in participating in an instrumental ensemble.
Needed: Individuals who read music and have good coordination.
