The Prayer Shawl Ministry began in January of 2008. Two people began this caring ministry. They felt the need to “blanket and wrap others with prayer.” Since 2008, 1,578 shawls and innumerable hats & scarves have been given away!
Prayer Shawls are given to those who are going through difficult times as symbols of God’s love & the caring love of BFUMC.
All are welcome to join the group!
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets 2nd Mondays @ 9:45am in the Chapel. We gather to bless what we have made and for fellowship. We have knitters, crocheters, and weavers. We also quilt shawls if the receiver is allergic to yarn.
